The poet Attilio Bertolucci and the architect Paolo Zermani, in addition to their places of origin, also share the spirit, and the awareness, of the validity of an authentic way of doing, which is possible only by starting from shared affections and memories. Their primary intention is to rely on foundations that are deep and secure, because they are shared, because they have survived over time. A comparative look between the two, focusing on the ‘projects’ of their own houses, will try to demonstrate the importance of certain intentions to define a deeply rooted identity as an essential condition of any work in which we want to try to put “some true light”.

Abstract

The poet Attilio Bertolucci and the architect Paolo Zermani, in addition to their places of origin, also share the spirit, and the awareness, of the validity of an authentic way of doing, which is possible only by starting from shared affections and memories. Their primary intention is to rely on foundations that are deep and secure, because they are shared, because they have survived over time. A comparative look between the two, focusing on the ‘projects’ of their own houses, will try to demonstrate the importance of certain intentions to define a deeply rooted identity as an essential condition of any work in which we want to try to put “some true light”.
