The article provides some insights about the potentialities of a long-lasting productive built and immaterial heritage to guide an overall territorial project of urban regeneration drawing on cross-sector goals and sustainable development aims. That according to a bioregional vision where the urban and rural dimension, along with the relavance devoted to the Ecosystem services provided by proximity environmental systems, are newly conceived a key domains to be reconnected if settlement resilience has to be achieved.
