The article provides a theoretical and operational framework in order to address the potentialities that the Periurban agricultural Park of the Florence Metro Area could unfold once it would have been implemented according integrated policies tools. In that direction the article points out at the currently lack of such a policies that turned out in a substantial block of the park development -due to the local administration and regional governemnt inertia- along with its positive effects.
