In Lecce's historic center, an ancient domus cum curte has been remodeled to house a collection of 20th-century art. The criteria followed in the restoration and reuse project was not to betray the arrangements of the existing construct by trying to integrate the different parts that, over time, have aggregated on the primitive layout. A principle of continuity-or subtle innovation-that takes leave of any mannerist topicalism. Constituting itself among inventories of memories and states of affairs, occasions and trajectories of desire, the architecture is infinite interweaving and enactment of temporalities.
