Abstract

The paradigm of circularity, so closely related to that of sustainability, replaces the linear process typical of modern industrial economies, introducing a principle of efficiency extended to the appropriate use or reuse of all resources. The circular paradigm requires thinking in cycles, working regeneratively and within the systems of nature, eliminating waste, and thinking about the interconnections of all actions in a systemic manner. This translates into the famous 3 R's - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle - but also into other important concepts, emphasising the cyclical nature of a closed system, which finds a point of equilibrium precisely in the inversion of the entropic balance, through the regenerative principle: Re-birth, Re-start, Re-new, Re-pare... Traditional and Indigenous Knowledge, are sophisticated knowledge sets closely connected to the social and cultural system and constitute a dynamic system capable of answering to the mains challenges linked to the sustainability and circularity.ì
