The propaganda of atheism is fully part of the constitutional guarantee of religious freedom provided by article 19 of the Italian Constitution. The analysis of some examples of case law involving censorship of atheist advertising campaigns shows the poor implementation, thirty years after its proclamation, of the principle of secularism.
