Le conseguenze della pandemia sulle forme di solidarietà sociale

What effects has the pandemic crisis had on social solidarity? Many have asked themselves this question, and the scientific production has been remarkable, offering a variety of analyses often based on the results of theoretically and methodologically very different empirical research conducted in different national and local contexts. On the basis of previous research, it had emerged that the relationship between solidarity and pandemics is more complicated than is often thought, so much so that it cannot be assumed that pandemics automatically promote solidarity. However, investigating the pro-social role of acting in solidarity, which makes groups and societies more cohesive, allows us to grasp the potential of changing social ties, of what allows people to cooperate and glues society together. One of the criucial elements, which we intend to keep in the foreground here, is the strong interdependence between the forms of interpersonal solidarity that have developed since the first moments of the pandemic, and the institutionalised solidarities at the different levels in which the social system is articulated.
