Rosa Heller Heinzelmann (1899-1972)

She began her university studies in philosophy in St. Petersburg and concluded them in Florence, always with excellent grades. A ”woman of truly extraordinary intelligence and sensitivity”, a scholar, a teacher at a high school – from which she was expelled because she was Jewish, then reinstated – and at the university, a translator from German and Russian, with several publications. She took care that the work of her poet husband would also be read in Italy, and preserved.
