Design for Health

Il Lemma Design for Health fa parte di uno dei 50 lemmi del Manifesto lessicale curato dagli afferenti al Cluster di Sitda Accessibilità Ambientale. I lemmi individuati sono quelli più impiegati nell'ambito del progetto di architettura per l’accessibilità, inteso come studio e intervento operativo finalizzato a rendere più inclusivi spazi, strutture, oggetti e servizi, nelle nuove costruzioni così come nel recupero del patrimonio culturale. Il lemma ripercorre una breve storia del rapporto tra ambiente costruito e salute alle diverse scale del progetto, sottolinenado l'interdisciplinarietà del tema e gli approcci oggi in uso in ambito architettonico e urbano. The Design for Health lemma is part of one of the 50 lemmas of the Lexical Manifesto edited by the members of the Sitda Cluster of Environmental Accessibility. The lemmas identified are those most frequently used in the sphere of architectural design for accessibility, understood as a study and operative intervention aimed at making spaces, structures, objects and services more inclusive, in new constructions as well as in the recovery of cultural heritage. The lemma retraces a brief history of the relationship between the built environment and health at the different scales of the project, emphasising the interdisciplinary nature of the topic and the approaches in use today in the architectural and urban spheres.
