ITASEC24 is the 8th Edition of the Italian conference on Cybersecurity, which is an annual event supported and organized by the CINI Cybersecurity National Lab, and also backed by the Italy’s Agency for National Cybersecurity (ACN). As in previous editions, ITASEC24 includes a Scientific and Technical (S&T) Track whose purpose is to gather Italian researchers, policy, industry, and society working in the field of Cybersecurity. It is thought as a forum to meet, discuss, and exchange experiences among people coming from academy and industry who are interested in cybersecurity and all its applications. ITASEC24 was held on April 8-12, 2024 in Salerno. The conference solicited two types of sub missions: unpublished contributions to be included in this post-proceedings, and presentation only contributions of already published or preliminary work. We received 108 submissions, 47 of which were for the presentation-only category and 61 original manuscripts. After collecting at least three reviews per paper, the committee decided to accept 45 original papers in the unpublished category, which are included in this post proceedings volume. Other 47 papers from the presentation-only category have been accepted and have been presented at the conference without being included in this volume. ITASEC24 has required a huge effort by many people. Special thanks go to the ITASEC24 General Chairs, Massimo Ficco, and Paolo Prinetto, and to the Chair of the Steering Committee, Rocco De Nicola. We would like to thank the program committee members, all the external reviewers, the authors of all submitted papers, and the staff from CINI for their immense effort and support to the conference administration and organization. Thanks also to the extremely professional local organization Univeristà di Salerno, and to all the volunteer students. Finally, ITASEC24 would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors. We would like to thank our platinum sponsors: BVTech, DigitalPlatforms, Microsoft, and Sonicwall; gold sponsor: Huawei; silver sponsor: ZTE.
