Abstract
Care activities, both paid and unpaid, are mainly provided by women* and they are either not or poorly paid. Gender based violence is still a normality. Climate chance is still ongoing. All three topics are deeply connected to masculinity. Acting like a real man implies being successful, competitive, in control, less empathetic, asserting oneself and interpreting care as an area that is primarily assigned to women*. The negative consequences of masculinity can be seen on an individual and social level. One concept that tries to change this is Caring Masculinities. The article gives insights in the theoretical background and pedagogic implementation of Caring Masculinities in ECEC and primary schools.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
