Renewed agricultural development: multifunctionality, local resources, services. Side observations on the Amalfi coast

In the last twenty years, Italian agriculture experienced a new development model. Especially where territorial characteristics do not offer good conditions for industrialized agriculture, many farmers oriented their activity towards both quality products and the diversification of activities that leverages on the high quality of the cultural, artistic, environmental and landscape resources. Through the lens of the Amalfi Coast, it was possible to pick up on the signs of these trends, that witness how today it is possible, even in an area with difficult socio-economic conditions, to develop a sustainable and resilient farming activity.
