The design strategy

This short essay describes the strategic lines of a research experience aimed at activating a sustainable and socially inclusive development processes in the village of Bënjë, Albania. The research was carried out at the Department of Architecture of the University of Florence within the framework of the “Develop Community Resources through the Enhancement of the Natural and Cultural Heritage” service contract signed with the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), Tiranë office. In particular, it describes the narrative master plan of a path connecting the thermal area near the Kadiu Bridge, along the Lengarica River, to the village of Bënjë. After an introductory paragraph, the essay describes the objectives and methodology of the project strategy, as well as the knowledge and operational tools used.
