The text addresses the issue of human mobility, which concerns the ability of individuals, groups or families to choose their place of residence. The cross-sectional educational dimension implicit in the study of migration is developed through a critical transformative research approach in adult education. From this perspective, the subject is a central actor in his own educational process, within a context that conditions him or her. At the same time, the subject interprets and transforms the context individually and collectively. The concepts of potential migrant public and educational conditions help to study human mobility through the definition of the analytical category of migratory potential formed by: migratory project, educational conditions, migratory aspiration and learning potential. Future-oriented and predictive research becomes a priority in order to be able to guide and inform policies and have a concrete impact in territories.
