The essay intends to describe experiences of Public History of Education carried out in Italian and European context, through the action of the PHE Laboratory of the Forlilpsi Department (University of Florence). The first project was developed through collaboration with the Marchi-Forti State Technical Institute (Monsummano and Pescia) for knowledge on the specific topic of the history of “Internati Militari Italiani” (IMI); the second experience was linked to the Tuscan regional project “For the history of a difficult border” and concerns the students’ physical journey to the multicultural places of the eastern Italian border; the third experience describes the European project “Remembering against discrimination” about Roma memories in the Second World War. The three activities are based on intercultural pedagogy and public history methodology with the aim of building inclusive citizenship processes.
