The restoration of the contemporary has always presented new problems, especially those related to the question of seriality and polymatericity. The case of the Serra di Ivrea, an example of Olivetti's architecture, may represent an exemplary case study for understanding the challenges posed to the restorer by modern industrial heritage, also in questioning principles and methods already consolidated by the discipline.
