“Project Kali” introduces a conceptual proposal for the Casa della Comunità (CdC), focusing on the design arrangement of spaces to promote health, particularly targeting physical and mental well-being. The proposed framework integrates sensory design principles and innovative elements to encourage physical and cognitive training to the user during the time spent in the waiting room. By incorporating sensory technologies, including smart and digital elements, self-assessment devices and passive exercise items, the design seeks to create comfortable and customizable environments conducive to health promotion. The sensory and design solutions (both including digital and physical components) not only regulate sensory stimuli to improve users’ comfort, by alleviating anxiety and stress associated with medical procedures, but also engage users in physical activities and provide health-related information, thereby improving accessibility and usability. By integrating health-promoting games and immersive experiences, the proposed “Project Kali” aims at promoting health and enhancing the overall well-being of CdC users. Drawing from existing research on sensory environments in healthcare settings, the concept emphasises the potential of sensory design and digital technologies in creating inclusive and supportive spaces for healthy and active ageing within the CdC context.

Abstract
Drawing from existing research on sensory environments in healthcare settings, the concept emphasises the potential of sensory design and digital technologies in creating inclusive and supportive spaces for healthy and active ageing within the CdC context.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
