Una pittrice per le Montalve: Diomira Franchi ritrattista dei granduchi lorenesi nella 'Stanza del caffè'.

Il saggio, attraverso documentazione inedita, identifica la pittrice Diomira Franchi quale autrice, nel 1789, di due ritratti dei granduchi lorenesi conservati a Villa La Quiete. Viene inoltre dato conto del riallestimento settecentesco progettato in occasione del recupero dei due dipinti, ricollocati nello stesso ambiente per il quale vennero realizzati. Vengono inoltre ricostruiti i rapporti tra i Lorena e le Signore Montalve alla fine del Settecento. The essay, through unpublished documentation, identifies the painter Diomira Franchi as the author, in 1789, of two portraits of the Lorraine grand dukes preserved at Villa La Quiete. Account is also given of the eighteenth-century rearrangement planned on the occasion of the recovery of the two paintings, relocated in the same setting for which they were made. The relations between the Lorraines and the Montalve ladies at the end of the 18th century are also reconstructed.
