The article describes the conception and development of the work that led to the reconstruction of the excavation activities carried out by the Istituto Papirologico G. Vitelli on the site of Arsinoe (Fayyum, Egypt) in the winter of 1964/65 and their valorisation and dissemination through an exhibition based on the interaction between traditional methodologies and advanced 3D reconstruction techniques.
