The education and professional development of teachers of the future is generally considered as being strategic in equipping them to deal with challenges such as sustainability, well-being and mental health, diversity and inclusion. The chapter will present the research developed by the European University Alliance for Well-Being – EUniWell selected for funding by the European Commission under the ERASMUS+ programme in 2020. The chapter presents the key steps taken by the Teacher Education Arena on Teacher Education and Well-Being and addressing innovative research, collaboration and networking for the advancement of the education and training of future teachers. When drawing up a transversal curriculum for European Teachers, the Teacher Education Arena identified a common framework of professional standards and related learning outcomes for European Initial Teacher Education. The chapter illustrates the process from the definition of professional standards to the design of two pilot learning proposals: a Blended Intensive Programme on sustainability education and a so-called Educathon on well-being.
