Abstract
The seismic sources of the area are well known, broadly corresponding to the complex system of trancurent faults that characterize the Dead Sea area. To define the spectral acceleration, and of response spectrum for assessing seismic vulnerability is the basis for calculating the force to apply when designing structures. A decisive step consists of analysing the interactions the can be produced between the expected shaking and the morphological and lithostratigraphic characteristics of the site the are able to produce an amplification spectra which refer specifically to the site where the monumental complex of the Holy Sepulchre isi situated. Comparative analysis between hazard maps- peak acceleration, with potential increase in siesmic amplification and the distribution of the damage produce - in and around Jeruslem - by the 1927 earthquake enable an empirical association to be established between local factors (topography and lithology) and observed seismic intensity.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
