The paper explores the role of good educational and training practices in promoting active ageing, within a socio-demographic context where longevity represents both a challenge and an opportunity. Through a national research project promoted by the Learning, Education and Active Ageing (LEAA) Committee, which employed a mixed methods approach, 50 practices across Italy were mapped and analysed. The investigation highlighted how these experiences foster autonomy, inclusion, and social participation, while valuing the knowledge and expertise of older adults. The results, discussed within thematic workshops, underline the importance of territorial networks, lifelong learning, and co-design processes. The study demonstrates how education serves as a key instrument, promoting a culture of care, active citizenship, and transformative learning.
