La concepción del adverbio en la historia de la gramática académica

The adverb category entails the greatest difficulties in terms of classification among the traditional grammatical categories. We have focused our analysis on the academic grammars due to the fact that they are reference works in the evolution of the grammar descriptive theory and to the fact that their frequent editions accept (or do not accept) innovations related to the evolution of grammatical studies. From the first edition of 1771, through the different editions until the New Grammar of 2009, we will see how the conception of the adverb changes, taking into account the works of the great grammarians who, with their intuitions, have changed the idea of the adverb in the Spanish grammar.
