La ricchezza degli dèi: attraversamenti tra pensiero economico e pensiero religioso in prospettiva pluriculturale

The global rise of neoliberal economic models has led to renewed attention to the nexus between religion and the economy. Many believers, from evangelical Christians to Islamic communities, Buddhist groups, and others, promote practices that encourage entrepreneurship, individual responsibility, and economic prosperity, often interpreted as signs of spiritual blessing. Among various socio-historical approaches, anthropological reflection is needed on the ways in which, in different historical and geographical contexts, individual enrichment can be conceptualized in religious terms. It also requires reflection on how these visions intertwine and compare with practices that exalt redistribution and sharing. The texts collected here reflect on this connection, starting from specific ethnographic realities.
