Archivio storico

The project stems from the need of the small municipality of Roccastrada to find a suitable space for storing the municipal historical archive, which includes a series of different paper documents and historical maps for a total of 2.684 archival units, including registers, envelopes, packages and files currently stored in various warehouses scattered throughout the municipal area. The agreement signed between the Department of Architecture of the University of Florence and the municipality has allowed us to carry out a preliminary feasibility study for the project, which involves our research unit.
