Based on the study of several autographs that have emerged from recent research, this article presents an update on Antonio di Mario’s graphic culture, with the aim of identifying possible models and contexts in which he may have learned to write. In particular, it examines: 1) his littera textualis, attested by a single manuscript; 2) his early experiments with humanistic script, in the aforementioned manuscript and in the documents he transcribed during the same period as assistant to the notary of the Riformagioni at the Florentine chancellery; 3) his early works in humanistic script.
