The volume “Environmental Design, Global Challenges, Research Scenarios” has the dual objective of outlining a picture of the lines of research developed over the last decade in Italian universities belonging to the Environmental Design Cluster of the Italian Society of Architectural Technology and, at the same time, defining future trajectories with respect to scenarios arising from the international context. The research presented demonstrates the ability of the the scientific community of the Cluster to effectively and appropriately address emerging issues linking the environment, technology, and society in the main challenges of our time, such as climate change, human health, nature preservation, and the ecosystem compatibility of habitat transformations, interacting with scientific fields that apparently seem far from the world of architecture to propose approaches and solutions with real impacts on society and promoting lifestyles and resource management models aimed at supporting ecological transition.

Abstract
The volume “Environmental Design, Global Challenges, Research Scenarios” has the dual objective of outlining a picture of the lines of research developed over the last decade in Italian universities belonging to the Environmental Design Cluster of the Italian Society of Architectural Technology and, at the same time, defining future trajectories with respect to scenarios arising from the international context. The research presented demonstrates the ability of the the scientific community of the Cluster to effectively and appropriately address emerging issues linking the environment, technology, and society in the main challenges of our time, such as climate change, human health, nature preservation, and the ecosystem compatibility of habitat transformations, interacting with scientific fields that apparently seem far from the world of architecture to propose approaches and solutions with real impacts on society and promoting lifestyles and resource management models aimed at supporting ecological transition.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
