Mutamenti, continuità e interazioni delle scritture distintive librarie latine e greche nel Quattrocento fiorentino

Il contributo analizza l’evoluzione delle scritture distintive librarie latine e greche nella Firenze del Quattrocento, soffermandosi sui fenomeni di continuità, trasformazione e interazione tra tradizioni grafiche differenti. Attraverso l’esame comparato di manoscritti umanistici latini e greci, lo studio ricostruisce le modalità con cui modelli calligrafici di origine bizantina, antiquaria e umanistica entrarono in rapporto nel contesto della cultura bilingue quattrocentesca. The contribution analyses the development of Latin and Greek display scripts in fifteenth-century Florence, focusing on processes of continuity, transformation, and interaction between different graphic traditions. Through the comparative examination of Latin and Greek humanistic manuscripts, the study reconstructs the ways in which Byzantine, antiquarian, and humanistic calligraphic models interacted within the context of humanistic bilingual culture.
