We here consider the thermodynamic macroscopic behavior of organic molecular semiconductors (OMS) from the point of view of their dielectric response and phase trantitions. We focus on a couple of largely investigated crystals, namely -quaterthiophene (4T) and tetracene (TEN). In such systems the evaluation of dielectric thermodynamics as a function of temperature is able not only to highlight the specific structure and patterns of phase transitions in markedly polymorphic compounds, but also to provide a practical estimation of the stability of each identified phase. The analysis carried out on such OMS can be considered a useful paradigm to apply the same procedure, interpretations, and concepts on the large and growing domain of organic materials for electronics.
