This book is devoted to the rapidly developed class of diamond devices used for electronic and optoelectronic applications. It is designed to provide much-needed information on the fundamental scientific principles of these devices together with how these are employed in technological applications. The chapter I wrote is dedicated to diamond used in medical radiotherapy applications, an area where diamond has been investigated for nearly five decades. In a thorough review recent progress and current status of diamond based materials and devices in this field are presented and discussed.
