The chapter describes Florence’s urban transformation. It focuses on City's urban change within the inner and outer urban areas in order to turn them into potential places to live and work. To enhance the City’s urban structure is needed more flexible approaches to planning policy and more comprehensibility for the proposed development schemes in order to reinforce potentiality of urban areas, repairing the damaged existing areas and creating the best conditions to live.
