This paper deals with experimental planning and optimization in response surface methodology. It aims at addressing two main issues: i) the optimization of a split-plot design in the multiple response case by considering a robust-design approach and ii) the related problem of weighting according to the actual importance of these variables and target values when performing the simultaneous optimization. An application to the study of a N/C machine in order to improve the accuracy of the measurement process and to reduce the measurement time is also carried out.

Abstract
This paper deals with experimental planning and optimization in response surface methodology. It aims at addressing two main issues: i) the optimization of a split-plot design in the multiple response case by considering a robust-design approach and ii) the related problem of weighting according to the actual importance of these variables and target values when performing the simultaneous optimization. An application to the study of a N/C machine in order to improve the accuracy of the measurement process and to reduce the measurement time is also carried out.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
