Teatri romani: immagini d'impero e d'attori e altre questioni

I teatri di Roma, di Pompei e delle province dell'impero in età augustea (e oltre) vengono analizzati, mediante exempla, in un'ottica contestuale che indaga la storia della mentalità, i programmi iconografici e le forme dello spettacolo. Particolare attenzione è dedicata al concetto fondante di repertorio, nonché alle performances del pantomimo Pilade di Cilicia e dell'imperatore-artista Nerone. The theatres of Rome, Pompeii and of the provinces of the empire in the Augustan Age (and beyond) are analysed, through exempla, within a contextual framework that includes the history of mentality, the iconographic programmes and the spectacular forms. Special attention is devoted to the founding concept of repertoire, and to the performances by the pantomime actor Pilades of Cilicia and of the emperor-artist Nero.
