How to implement a tourism statistical information system

The specificity and complexity of tourism system is widely recognised along with its economic and social importance and, in this sense, local administrations are often called to assume strategic decisions for the economy and the quality of life of their territory. The informative framework is often not adequate to local tourism governance, obliged to synthesize economic, social, cultural, environmental aspects in single decisions and political acts. This work is oriented to tourism statistical information systems designing, in light of the reality complexity, of the plurality of subjects that experience tourism processes and of the multiplicity of observation perspectives that ought to be integrated in wider explicatory spaces.
