Abstract

Temporal evolution of low frequency intramolecular vibrational coordinates and ultrafast decay component attributed to librational motion were studied for simple liquids and solutions recently by optical Kerr effect (OKE) [1]. The purpose of this study is the creation of anisotropy of 0-carotene solutions by optical Kerr effect to study dynamical behavior of β-carotene at the femto and picosecond time scales.
