The educators, at the beginning of the 2010-2011 school year, chose the picture book that most struck them in terms of the icons used, and interested them in terms of the written code. On this basis, in a flexible and processual manner, they "thought out" their intended teaching plans, which traslated into the activies that they proposed to the children. The same book was used with the different groups of children, decided by age, hence both the objectives and the activities aiming to promote the understanding and elaboration of the story had to be diversified. Different fields of faction and thought were singled out for each group, and as a consequence activities organized in relation to the different ages, and learning paces, times and styles. The types of activity taken as reference points were those set out in the infant school guidelines from 1991.
