The main scientific problem related to vernacular architectures is the reconstruction of the chains of values, knowledge and local production, undervalued for the past century thereabouts on account of their difficulty to be managed from a standardized industrial and commercial point of view; the process of valorization of earthen architectural cultures is an exemplary case, started many years ago and sustained by important international committees such as UNESCO, founded partly on elicitation of constructive knowledge, in compliance with the original contexts, and partly on the innovation of this knowledge through an evolutionary framework organized on the basis of social, economical, and technical expectations and requirements.

Abstract
The main scientific problem related to vernacular architectures is the reconstruction of the chains of values, knowledge and local production, undervalued for the past century thereabouts on account of their difficulty to be managed from a standardized industrial and commercial point of view; the process of valorization of earthen architectural cultures is an exemplary case, started many years ago and sustained by important international committees such as UNESCO, founded partly on elicitation of constructive knowledge, in compliance with the original contexts, and partly on the innovation of this knowledge through an evolutionary framework organized on the basis of social, economical, and technical expectations and requirements.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
