The long life of the Church was accompanied with numerous restoration interventions, due to various reasons, from the earthquake of the XIV Century to the II World War, which have taken place over time and that led to the present conditions. In the chapter the most significant historical events are summarized and an interesting hypotheses about a possible reconstruction of the ancient wooden trusses of the roof has been formulated. The starting point was the discover of some chestnut timber elements, found in the roof during the restoration, that showed to be very ancient and to have some singular tenons and joints. These particulars let us hypothesize to link the timber members to some other structural elements of the roof, containing some mortises, and finally to virtually reconstruct the former ancient truss of the Church. Probably it was very light roof and not so efficient from the load bearing point of view, and during the time the trusses were readily substituted with more modern and efficient ones.

Abstract
Probably it was very light roof and not so efficient from the load bearing point of view, and during the time the trusses were readily substituted with more modern and efficient ones.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
