Wood identification has been carried out by means of microscopic sections. The most part of the elements is of Chestnut wood species (Castanea sativa Mill.) which has been detected in the main framework of the roof, in the secondary ones, in the painted elements and even in the toggles of the ancient timbers. Spruce (Picea abies Karst.) has been detected in small pieces of the painted structure inserted during the recent restoration.
