In this chapter, the authors aim to introduce and discuss a sustainable action framework established, developed and applied to manage complex issues in a sustainable way. To do so, first an assumption is made that we live in a complex world requiring new ways of thinking and acting to reach sustainable goals. Then, utilizing the sustainability paradigm (WCED, 1987) and the complexity and coevolutionary theories with conceptual sustainable thinking, the authors will introduce an effective operational sustainable framework for businesses. The megacommunity concept (Gerencser et al. 2008) will be introduced and framed as a community concept that responds to contemporary geopolitical realities. The intent of this chapter is to give managers and researchers a possible strategic option in the development of a sustainable business.
