SAR imaging systems are widely used for the observation of Earth surface. Despeckling methods based on Bayesian estimation in the Undecimated Wavelet Transform domain have been considered, as well as optimal image formats for despeckling, despeckling of correlated speckle noise and the problem of quality assessment for the despeckling of SAR images.
