Firstly, we explicitly determine the solution to the constitutive equation of isotropic masonry-like materials. Then we calculate the derivative of the stress function with respect to the strain, as this will be used to construct the tangent stiffness matrix when dealing with numerical solution to the equilibrium problem. With the aim of illustrating the possible applications of the constitutive equation of masonry-like materials and the the numerical method described in the foregoing, a case stady is presented. Lastly, we address the study of the dynamic behavior of slender masonry structures.
