The paper provides a synthetic report of the soil-structure interaction analysis in seismic conditions for the church of S. Filippo in Nocera Umbra (Italy). The study was structured in three suc¬cessive phases. In the first phase, a general overview of the soil-structure system, and a description of the architectural, structural and geotechnical properties of its components, are provided. Following the description of the system, a preliminary qualitative analysis of the seismic behavior of the system was performed, through a historical investigation and the observation and interpretation of the damage from the 1997 Umbria-Marche seismic sequence. In the last phase, numerical verification of the tentative hypotheses was attempted through a finite element analysis for the seismic shock of September 26, 1997 00:33 GMT.
