Data on tests on sixty eccentrically loaded slender columns constructed of high strength concrete (HSC), self-consolidating concrete (SCC) and traditional vibrated concrete are reported in this paper. All columns have cross section of 100 mm  100 mm and length of 2000 mm. Main variables considered in the tests are the concrete strength, the longitudinal steel reinforcement ratio and the load eccentricity. The attention is focused on the overall performance of columns: type of failure, cracking pattern, peak strength and ductility. The tests showed that the qualitative behavior of the SCC columns was similar to the behavior of the traditional vibrated concrete columns. Different quantitative results were detected for peak strengths and ductility indexes. The SCC columns loaded with small eccentricity produced lower normalized peak strengths than the traditional vibrated columns both for normal and high strength concrete. The types of failures showed that the SCC columns made of normal strength concrete behave in a more ductile manner when compared with the other columns that were tested.
