Abstract

Since the beginning of the XX century, constructive tradition evolved in an empiric way, elaborating specific solutions to enhance seismic resistance of traditionally built houses; frequent ruinous seismic events were the occasion to test new anti-seismical building techniques and to adopt building regulations, though only with local regard. Both regulations and rules of the art were not used in the common practice, that used to re-enable already damaged buildings ad re-use materials taken from destroyed buildings.
