La prima traduzione portoghese della «Commedia». Note paratestuali

Il seguente lavoro intende presentare la prima traduzione portoghese della Commedia, di epoca moderna e contemporanea, focalizzando l’attenzione sulle informazioni paratestuali in essa contenute per comprendere il lavoro traduttologico intrapreso dall’autore e il forte legame da ciò derivato con il cattedratico fiorentino Giambattista Giuliani. La presentazione della traduzione portoghese è preceduta da una breve panoramica sulla ricezione di Dante nel Portogallo di epoca moderna, utile per la comprensione della traduzione stessa, avvenuta nel 1886. This work aims to introduce the first Portuguese translation of the Comedy in the modern and contemporary age, focusing the attention on the paratextual notes for a better knowledge of the translation work undertaken by the Portuguese author and the resulting relationship with the florentine Giambattista Giuliani. The introduction of the Portuguese translation is preceded by a short excursus regarding Dante’s reception in the Portuguese society of the modern age, useful to understand the translation itself which occured in 1886.
