The purpose of this study is to report the qualitative data collected as part of a broader evaluative research project on educational contexts for disability. This study examines the responses provided by 161 pre-service teachers, completing their training at the University of Florence, who were asked to indicate strengths and weaknesses in the implementation of their inclusive teaching practices (TEIP). The main focus are some specific areas identified in the existing literature as related elements in the definition of inclusive environments and inclusive attitudes, such as teaching practices, collaboration between school staff and families and behaviour management. The integration of quantitative and qualitative data, collected and analysed separately, provided an explanation of the elements that can contribute to the teachers' self-efficacy towards school inclusion.
