Abstract

The fountain of 99 Cannelle, is the monumental fountain of L’Aquila and commonly considered one of the first civic monuments of the city. Probably it was built on a project by the architect Tancredi da Pentima in 1272, a few years after the second foundation of the city, however the intervention of Da Pentima would be limited to the construction of the wall placed frontally to the entrance. The Survey Project dates back to the end of 2021, and is a typical example of integrated survey with TLS acquisitions, photographic acquisitions from UAS and photographic acquisitions from the ground. The TLS survey was used to acquire the whole square including the facade of the church of San Vito alla Rivera and the Porta Rivera. The photographic images both those coming from drone and those from the ground have been aligned in single points cloud that has reproduced all the space of the fountain and also the top parts of the fountain itself. The two point clouds were compared and then calibrated on the point cloud by TLS. The works were made on a scale of 1:50 and the materiality of the monument has been enhanced..
