Necessary constructions as a landscape paradigm

The paper considers the dense network of ancestral paths crisscrossing the territory under analysis. These infrastructures, of which often only particular sections and testimonies remain today, were carefully guarded in the past and played a pivotal role in connecting communities. In particular, there is a focus on minor and widespread elements and monumental landmarks that characterise the path from the Kadiu Bridge to Bënjë and their close relationship with the different orographic and geological conditions posed by the environment.
