The aim of this study was the characterization of a typical black chickpea, grown in the Murgia of Bari (region of Puglia, Italy). It is a small, round seed with a thin black skin and pale yellow inside. This chickpea genotype has never been characterized before and the aim of the study was the characterization from the standpoint of phenolic and mineral content (Ca, Cu, Fe, K, Mg, Mn, Na, Ni, Se, Zn) in order to highlight its nutritional value and to find characteristics of these genotype that would lead to improved cultivation and consequently reduce the “biological erosion” of this landrace. Chromatographic profile acquired by HPLC/DAD/MS of the hydroalcholic extract shows the presence of phytohormones (0.495 mg/g), flavonoids in particular flavonol glicosides (0.250mg/g)and isoflavons (0.008mg/g).

Abstract
Chromatographic profile acquired by HPLC/DAD/MS of the hydroalcholic extract shows the presence of phytohormones (0.495 mg/g), flavonoids in particular flavonol glicosides (0.250mg/g)and isoflavons (0.008mg/g).File | Dimensione | Formato | |
